BISCO
Brockport Integrated Service & Community Organization
The purpose of this organization is to serve as a separate group whereby local organizations such as the ones which helped to create BISCO (Brockport Kiwanis, Lions, Rotary, Fire Department and Elks), their members, other local organizations/groups, as well as individuals from the community-at-large will cooperatively and collectively contribute to the betterment and/or well-being of eligible individuals, groups and organizations. The westernmost towns of Monroe County in New York State is the predominant service area. The organization’s primary focus is the support of projects that benefit individual or groups of children.
This organization achieves its purpose by sponsoring and/or otherwise financially supporting appropriate activities and projects through volunteer efforts, utilization of a variety of fund-raising events, direct solicitation of the public and procurement of support through grants from state, business and foundational sources.
Each year the Summer Arts Festival is held in Brockport and brings thousands of visitors to our Village. The popular Duck Derby helps fund projects for BISCO and the Lakeside Foundation.
